Which is exactly why Arriezu chooses to make his white in Rueda and his red in Rioja

In an exceptional estate only 6 miles away from Rueda, Valladolid, there‚Äôs La Sombría: 44 hectares at 783 meters MSL (above sea level). The land is practically covered in its most indigenous grapes: verdejo.

Not too far away, in El Monte, the red grape abounds. Located in San Adrián, halfway between La Rioja and Navarra, the tempranillo grape grows in the Arriezu Vineyards.

The Arriezu team, spread across the two towns, is in charge of supervising that both kinds of grapes get to the bottle free of pesticides, giving our wine its organic, ecological and environmentally conscious quality.
